Koh Chang, Thailand nature at its best

Relaxing and off the beaten track. This is the best way to describe this wonderfull place known as Koh Chang (Andaman Coast). As you explore Thailand, you might look for an "off the beaten track" island. Koh Chang is for you. This small island is situated close to the Burmese border and can be accesed from Ranong, by boat.

Koh Chang offers the traveller tranquil beaches and is also ideal for swimming, fishing, diving, rock climbing and hiking. The island is also home to a wide range of wildlife, including a good selection of birds.

There are no motorbikes for rent on Ko Chang and the only way to get around is by walking or by boat. This is actually what makes the island so peaceful and special. Most resorts are situated on Ao Yai, which is a long stretch of beach. This, during high season, which runs from November until April, is the main walking thoroughfare. There are several newer concrete roads leading inland and also lots of dirt tracks for those who are more adventurous. On some weekdays there is a taxi boat leaving to and returning from Ko Phayam.

Enjoy relaxing, breathtaking sunsets in Koh Chang. Unspoiled Thailand, the Andaman Sea hidden treasure.
